Safety Alerts

When useful safety information is identified due to accidents and near misses which have occurred either at the University of Glasgow or other higher education institututions SEPS will make every effort to communbicate this directly to management units and staff with safety responsibilities.  We also receive information from other organisations such as the Health and Safety Executive, Public Health England, commerical companies and many others.  Where the information is particularly relevant we will produce a safety alert that summarises the key safety information and provides some guidance on avoiding similar accidents and dangerous occurences.

We would recommend that relevant safety alerts are sent to all users and displayed prominently on noticeboards and/or in areas where the hazard may occur.  A small library of recent safety alerts will be hosted here for reference and can be downloaded via the associated link.
